"How absurd is to live looking down at my feet when there is such
a sky above me, and it seems that the stars can be reached by hand" -
from the song by Sergey Trofimov "My God, What is a Trifle"
Comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE became visible from the astronomers village
Nizhny Arkhyz which is located in the gorge of Large Zelenchuk river.
Photo is made on July 19, 2020.
Both partial and total phases of the January 21, 2019 Lunar eclipse
were not seen from Nizhnij Arkhyz, the astronomy village.
This image was taken 6 minutes before the entering the Moon
in the Earth shadow. The penumbral eclipse is visible left on the
Lunar disc as a grey region. The moon comes to distant trees in
the mountains.
The July 27, 2018 Lunar eclipse as seen from Nizhnij Arkhyz, SAO.
This image is taken with the Samsung-A5 smartfon through
5-cm finder of 25-cm telescope. Here is the image of the Moon
in the center of the Earth shadow
taken with the 25-cm telescope and the electronic image tube
equipped with the microchannel plate.

ETHICAL PROBEMS OF ASTRONOMY
SCIENCE AND BUSINESS
Such a trifle as a starry night sky of largest observatories
turned out to be a small change coin
in commercial bargains for exclusive communal services in Russia,
and for a few elite flats in penthouses in Ukraine.
SCIENCE AND BUREAUCRATISM
First, the state imposes the power vertical line in scientific institutions, and as
a result, careerism and bureaucratism prospere, and then we face with philosophers
who cannot distinguish science from bureaucratism! (Till in Russian)
SCIENCE AND RELIGION
Clericalization of science and education.
Propaganda of medieval theological conceptions in Russian schools instead of
astronomy teaching (till in Russian).
